As a dental student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Dr. Jake noticed a pattern: the same patients coming in with the same chronic issues - cavities filled, crowns placed, gums treated - only to return months later with new problems.
No one seemed to ask:
- Why did this start?
- What could've prevented it?
- How do we stop it from happening again?
Those questions never left him. And that's when it clicked: he didn't want to just fix problems. He wanted to solve them.

Training & Education
Dr. Jake didn't collect credentials - he pursued mastery. His foundation reflects that:
- Bachelor's Degree, University of Kansas. Where he served as president of the university's Rock Climbing Club.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, 2014. During his training, he served as president of the school's Esthetic Dentistry Club, was a member of the Ethics Club, and founded a student-run Dental Study Club.
- Continuing Education That Goes Beyond the Average. Dr. Jake completes over 150 hours of continuing education each year — well above industry standard. His advanced training includes hands-on residencies in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, and Real Bone Builder Training with renowned implant surgeon Frank Zastrow (2023).
Faculty Instructor & Implant Educator. Dr. Jake has been teaching implant dentistry since 2020 - and that means his patients benefit from someone who's committed to mastering the field, not just practicing in it. He serves as:
- Board Member, MINEC America (Megagen International Network of Education and Clinical Research)
- Instructor, Wehrle Implant Immersion (since 2023)
- Lead Faculty, Foundation Implant Training — Foundational Implantology Course
- Mentor, leading a local implant study group in New Mexico
Teaching advanced topics like immediate implant placement, biology-driven restorative design, and emergence profile means Dr. Jake brings those same evidence-based techniques to every implant case at Organ Mountain Dental.
He also holds memberships with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and the International Academy of Dental Implantology (IADI) - two of the most respected professional bodies in implant dentistry.
Beyond surgical placement, Dr. Jake's clinical focus extends to endodontics, autologous growth factors (PRF), and fully digital dentistry workflows - integrating CBCT 3D imaging, facial scanning, Cerec, Exocad, photogrammetry, and 3D printing to deliver literature-based, evidence-driven implant care under one roof.
But credentials only matter if the work reflects them. What matters more is the time spent outside work hours - on weekends, in hands-on residencies, and on the phone with mentors. That's what makes Dr. Jake different: he's never stopped being a student. Not because he has to - but because your care deserves someone who still wants to.
